Vocational training

Our mission

The Steyr Automotive training centre is the competent partner for apprenticeship and vocational training. The commitment to an active apprenticeship policy is a clear signal: it is important to give young people the chance of an interesting apprenticeship and thus a successful start into a successful professional future. With a team of 14 people, a total of about 320 apprentices are accompanied over 4 apprenticeship years and trained in up to 12 apprenticeship occupations in the fields of metal technology, electrical engineering, automotive technology and operational logistics.

The company’s own training workshop has trained more than 7200 skilled workers since 1946 and is now also used as a supra-regional training centre by other major companies and institutions. A modular training system makes it possible to cover different training requirements.

Impressive proof of the high quality of vocational training at the Steyr Automotive training centre is the excellent performance of the apprentices in the annual competition of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce and in the final apprenticeship examinations.
